Obituary for William Roscoe Nelson

William Roscoe Nelson, age 75, of Rains Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 5, 1942 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Dewey Nelson and Idessie (Perkins) Nelson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Millard Nelson and James Paul Nelson; brothers-in-law, Al Prewitt, Lonnie Prewitt, Clarence Prewitt and Clyde Earl Prewitt. Roscoe was an employee of the City of Williamsburg for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jewelene Prewitt Nelson of Williamsburg; three children, Charlene Nelson, Allen nelson and Daniel Nelson (Kody) of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Alexias Nelson and Leslie Nelson; two sisters, Imogene Nelson of Corbin and Margaret Terry (Lonnie) of Palmyra, Tennessee; brother, Joseph Nelson of Corbin; three brothers-in-law, Glennis Prewitt (Gerri), Leland Prewitt (Fay) and Truman Prewitt (Glenda) of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Prewitt officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Steely Cemetery.
